---- Shot Tower Capital is a US-based privately held investment bank based in Baltimore, Maryland. The firm provides merger and acquisition advise to media and entertainment companies with a focus in the music and film sectors. Shot Tower provides its capital raising services and executes securities transactions through a wholly owned subsidiary Shot Tower Securities LLC. History David Dunn and Robert Law founded Shot Tower in 2012. David Dunn had previously worked in the media group at Alex. Brown & Sons and at Deutsche Bank. Robert Law previously worked in the media group at Bear Stearns. Shot Tower advised on the $2.2 billion 2012 purchase of EMI Music Publishing by the Sony Corporation. Shot Tower also represented Sony/ATV and EMI Music Publishing in its 2013 sale of the Virgin Music and Famous Music UK publishing catalog to BMG Rights Management as required by regulators as a condition of Sony’s EMI publishing purchase. Other music transactions on which Shot Tower advised include the sale of Verse Music Group, including the songs of Nina Simone to BMG, the sale of ABRY Partner’s interest in Kidz Bop to Razor & Tie, the sale of music publishing assets of Nettwerk Music Group to Kobalt Capital Ltd. as well as the sale of the music neighbouring rights business of Fintage House B.V. to Kobalt Music Group Ltd. Shot Tower raised capital for entertainment payroll and technology company Ease Entertainment Services and subsequently represented the company during its sale to Entertainment Partners. Shot Tower has also worked with the estate of Michael Jackson, advising the estate and securing debt capital in connection with the restructuring of debt secured by its ownership of music publishing assets. Shot Tower also advised the estate in connection with the $750 million sale of its interest Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC, including The Beatles catalog, to Sony Corporation in 2016. In February 2017, Shot Tower Co-Founder, David Dunn testified at the tax trial of the estate of Michael Jackson about Jackson's financial situation prior to death. That same month it was reported Shot Tower founder David Dunn was brought in by Comerica Bank as an advisor to the estate of Prince. Also in 2017, Shot Tower ran the auction of Imagem that was aquired by Concord Bicycle Music for $600 Million.
