thumb Shinjini Das (born January 9, 1992) is an American multimedia personality, speaker, and Huffington Post contributor. Early life and education Shinjini Das was born in Kolkata, India. Her family moved to America from Malaysia when she was nine years old. She graduated from Northview High School in Johns Creek, Georgia, accepted the President’s Scholarship to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology, and graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with Honors as the Undergraduate Commencement Reflection Speaker. Career Spokesperson In 2016, Das serves as a Brand Ambassador and Gender Equality Advocate for The Global Fund for Women. The global multi-platinum recording artist, Usher’s namesake Usher's New Look Foundation invited Shinjini to serve as a Motivational Minute Speaker. Das was invited to lead a key live auction by American India Foundation (AIF) for economic development for the underprivileged in India. In addition, she was invited to serve as the youngest speaker in its series of Google hangouts featuring inspirational women leaders on ‘College to Career’ for renown journalist Soledad O’Brien’s Soledad O'Brien and Brad Raymond Starfish Foundation. In March 2016, Das was invited to moderate a panel at United Nations Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters as a recognized Global Hero by Together Girls, a United Nations Partnership in honor of her international advocacy work to empower women. FOX, CBS, NBC, Sirius XM, Inc., Forbes. Das was profiled in Inc. magazine as a Global Hero to share her thoughts on broadening access to education for girls globally and interviewed in Forbes Magazine as an entrepreneur balancing a corporate career.
