Shimmy A Go Go is the first single from Australian Glam/Indie/Punk band Short Stack. It was released on September 27, 2008 on Sunday Morning Records. Inspiration The song is about partying and putting your trust in someone you love. It uses metaphors to tell the story of the song. The writer of the song promises the person he is singing to, "We could live forever, one line at a time". He also repeats the line "I'm so Beside myself tonight" various times. Frontman and main songwriter Shaun Diviney said about the song in the live version of the track, "This next song, is about when you're at a party and you're sitting alone next to a girl and you look into her eyes and you put your hand on her ear and whisper 'Shimmy a Go Go'."
