Sheryar Nizar

Sheryar Nizar is a Pakistani Musician played lots of rock shows with varous artist and rock bands. He has also known as a university rocker as he played lots of his own rock songs in pakistani univeristies like Iqra University - Karachi, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology - Karachi, Indus Valley School Of Arts. He is also has won the Battle of Bands held at Iqra University in December 2007.

Biography


Sheryar Nizar born on April 13, 1984 in Karachi, Pakistan is the former lead vocalist of the band Nizari and a software developer. Currently, he is pursuing a solo musical career.

Sheryar Nizar began his career as lead singer for the Raas Pakistani rock band. A solo artist since 2000, he is now reinventing the South Asian music scene with his passionate and poetic fusion of east/west musical traditions.

Sheryar began singing professionally when he was very young. He first joined the Karachi underground band "The Boys".

Sheryar Nizar sang Manzil in The Boys, which he later re-sang the song during Raas days.

He has toured with his band extensively, doing two North American tours a year since 2002. He has performed in Europe, the Middle East and China and at the European rock festival, Roskilde in June 2000.

In 2007 Sheryar left Raas to start his solo career. His first solo album “Manzil” was released in 2007. The album was recorded in Salah Studio. Sheryar Nizar has taken a bold step changing the whole sound, bringing more raw music in Manzil album includes blues rock style and also the album feature live drums.

Sheryar Nizar is also known by the name SHERY among his family and friends.
