Shaukat Mahmood Basra (Born March 1, 1966) is a Pakistani politician and former member of Punjab Assembly. He belongs to Pakistan Peoples Party (Parliamentarian). Education Basra obtained his early education from Haroonabad. He obtained the degree of LL.B. from Karachi University. Political Career He got selected as a member of Punjab assembly in the election of 2008 and remained the member during 2008-2013 (15th Assembly ). He won the provincial assembly election from PP-283 Haroonabad District Bahawalnagar. He got 43279 votes while his opponent received 38279 votes. He remained Parliamentary Secretary from 31 January 2009 to 26 February 2011. On February 6, 2017, Basra got injured in a party camp attack when he was protesting against the sitting government. He remained the Deputy Parliamentary Leader Punjab during his tenure in Punjab Assembly. <ref name=":0" /> |
