SharkTec LLC is a New York based company that provid shark repellent products and technologies for both consumer use and for shark consveration efforts. SharkTec have partnered up with scientists Dr. Eric Stroud and Dr. Patrick Rice from SharkDefense. . SharkTec's primary product for consumers uses semiochemicals dispersed through an aersol can. The effectiveness of this repellent has been verified in numerous scientific publications. SharkTec and SharkDefense place a large emphasis on environmental protection and shark conservation. Sharkdefense has already proven that the semiochemicals used in SharkTec's repellent can significantly reduce by-catch reduction. In fact scientists estimated that if the semiochemicals are applied globally then 4,258,080 - 8,279,600 sharks a year will be saved.
