Background
The site was originally launched in the year 2000, by Nimmi who is currently the Editor-in-Chief. The site initially offered Astrology, Horoscopes and daily Horoscopes. By November 2002, the site had attracted interest from a number of media outlets and featured in the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. The article discussed the online questionnaire that aims to predict your appointed meeting with your maker. It achieves this by asking series of questions about your lifestyle, health, diet, family history and environment.
In 2003, Rediff featured the site on its “guide to the net”. In the same year, the site began to feature in various media globally, and had their first article published in Europe. The early coverage about their life calculator then began to spread to other countries, with features in Iceland and Romania.
In 2006, the calculator was featured on CBS, Reuters and Fox News. Since these features on their ‘Death Calculator’, the websites Horoscopes began to feature more in the media.
The website’s writers then began to discuss other topics, such as the history of astrology.
The websites success has meant that they have featured in numerous books discussing life, love and religion. They were first discussed in a book titled “Drought Assessment” in 2002. Since 2007 have featured in a number of books.
