Shane Stott

Shane Stott, a young entrepreneur of USA was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He went to the University of Utah for two years after graduating high school and later left college to go to recording school in Los Angeles. Shane Stott lives with his fiancé in Draper, Utah, and his two dogs Weezy and Indy.
Early Life
During his schooling, he took an assisting position for John Reznick of the music band Goo Goo Dolls at a studio named Departure.
He later became a recording engineer and got hired as the Operations Co-ordinator at Archetype Studios. He was also the sound assistant for a movie Dead Birds that released in 2004.
Career
Archetype Studios eventually went under and Shane moved back to Utah in 2005. He joined the Walker Tape Co., a hair replacement company which was founded by his grandfather in 1985. He quickly worked his way to the top of the company in 6 years where he is now CEO.
In 2008, he started a company called HealingCharts.com that helped people to track their mental health, which later branched into a project geared towards bipolar people.
In the fall of 2011, he built a website that sold plans he used to build a float tank in his basement. This project lead him into meeting William Hill, a manufacturer in China whose most notable invention of the time was an indoor grow room. Shane and William began working on a float tank that could be assembled and shipped easily and would cost less. They brought Shane's brother Sean Stott in as a business partner and opened the Zen Float Co.
He has planned how to build and use a float tank for people who are interested in it and he maintains a community for users of such tanks. Since early 2011, he helped thousands of people to both build and maintain their own float tanks at home with detailed plans and personal help and guidance. He gets popularity through YouTube and word of mouth for his offers and he attended and presented a number of upcoming float documentaries including Float Nation in the Portland Float Conference 2013.
