Shaimaa Sabagh (; c.1984 - 24 January 2015) was a poet and an activist in Egypt, and a member of the Socialist Popular Alliance Party. On 24 January 2015, she was participating in a march to lay flowers in Cairo's Tahrir Square when she was shot at close range with birdshot, and she died shortly afterwards. The march on 24 January was stated to be in honor of more than 800 demonstrators killed during the events of the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.
Videos of the shooting and its aftermath were posted on YouTube,<ref namenyt24jan/> but the Egyptian Interior Ministry denied police shot Sabagh, instead stating that marchers had set off firecrackers.<ref nameao24jan/>
