Seditio

Seditio is a modular content management system and content management framework powered by PHP and MySQL.
The engine distinguishes itself from other content management systems by keeping the HTML code completely separate from the PHP. This allows graphic designers to create skins without having to know much PHP. Seditio can be skinned by editing pre-made skins supplied by the community, or easily making one's own by creating a template, and simply substituting for the TPL tags.
The engine sports the customary features of a CMS: Message boards, Administration tools, news system, polls, image gallery, user file uploading, page creation, user registration; additional features can be added to the default engine via plugins.
As a CMS, it can be extremely user-driven, requiring minimal input from moderators.
History
Seditio was created by Olivier C. on March 10, 2006 as a supersession of the popular Land Down Under website engine. At this point Seditio has undergone seven revisions . A new version (125) is expected to be released soon, and the Seditio licensing system was changed and modules are supported to allow for customization on virtually every level to suit the needs of the administrator.
The design and layout of each site is supported by Web templates which allows the administrator to design a single or multiple templates to be used and chosen preference over by the users visiting the site.
Support for multilingual sites allows for templates and plugins to be customized to support a wide variety of users on a single site. In turn, this allows each site member to choose a suitable language through which to view the site.
Community
Seditio supports a wide variety of communities. Sites span from development for Seditio to web design and plugin development. There are also a variety of languages communities may span such as Dutch, German, Russian, Turkish, Swedish, and others. Users span to all areas from artists to game sites. Unofficial developers may consist of commercial and freelance workers for developing web templates and plugins to expand the CMS. Seditio also has a great variety at the support site, Neocrome; located at http://www.neocrome.net.
Security
Over its history, Seditio has had relatively few security vulnerabilities. The Seditio Development team tries to maintain a high standard of security which is evident in the low number of security advisories. This allows people to use Seditio relatively worry-free from major exploits.
License
Seditio is distributed by default with a free for personal and non-commercial license. Alternatively there are Commercial, and Reseller licenses for purchase.
