Secrets of the Lakes

Secrets of the Lakes () is a 2015 drama film by Taiwanese director Benjamin Gan.
This film is sometimes considered an experimental film, which contains 3 parts. There are a couple of secrets in Part 1, but it turns out to be fiction. Part 2 is like shatters of mysterious poems. Part 3 seems to explain what part 2 is about.
Secrets of the Lakes was nominated for 2015 South Taiwan Film Festival, South Competition Award, Experimental Film , and Jury Prize as well. In Delhi Shorts International Film Festival 2017,Secrets of the Lakes won Short Film Award. At the 12 Months Film Festival 2017, Secrets of the Lakes was the winner of Screenwriter Award.
Plot
A man by the lake has a lot of secrets and he hides them inside a lake. One day he goes to Theme Park of Secrets and finds out his father's secret. He decides not to tell anyone, but later his secret is stolen by someone. What can he do about it? In a parallel universe, he has lived by a lake for a long time. He has a secret crush on a kayaker. There is a homesick stranger outside his house. Maybe the stranger has secrets too. The leading man opens the refrigerator, and looks for something to eat, but there is only one green apple left. So he quietly swallows the sourness of life, before he decides to leave the lake forevermore.
