Plot
Viola (Julie Kilzer), a German woman, seeking escape from an abusive relationship at home, comes to America with a dream of starting her life anew only to be swindled out of her life savings. One day she gets a phone call from the dead movie star Marlene Dietrich. In the beginning Viola thinks that it’s a prank played by her boy friend, Sam Miller (Peter O'Connor). But she soon finds out that it’s not Sam. There is, however, someone who is constantly watching her. The search for the mysterious caller leads her to revelations of love and a deeper mystery. Three souls cross Viola's paths, a young woman from Lubeck, an American lady and a long dead film star, and Viola’s life is changed forever.
