Sebastian Osumanu

Sebastian Osumanu,( born 14 March 1989 )is a Ghanaian young economist. He was born by Osumanu Deoyala and Grace Lamisi both from the Upper west Region of Ghana. He was born and breaded in the Central Region of Ghana where he had His early education in a town called Mankessim. He had his Senior High School education at Breman Asikuma Secondary School (BASS)in the Asikuma Odoben/Brakwa District Ghana. As young at 16, he successfully obtained distinction from the West Africa Examination Council Private Candidate Examination while in his second year at the senior High school. He finally obtain high grades in his final year which gained him admission into the University Of Cape Coast ( an institution accorded with high academic excellency in Ghana).
Osumanu at his early ages won several awards before entering the university. He won the Best Geography Student award (Ghana) in 2006. In that same year, he became the first student to obtain grade A in Geography at BASS since the inception of the West Africa base exams of the school. Besides, He was taken to South Africa to represent Ghana on the continental level and he become second. Mr.Sebastian became the Africa Geographical Society Chairman (senior high school level) in 2006. After entering the university in 2007, His good academic credentials attracted some NGOs to enroll him on more workshops. He was enrolled by The Concern for the Working Children for workshops on children transportation problems which took him to countries such as Malaysia, USA, Malawi, Indonesia, Sr i-lanka,Ukraine, Cyprus, South Africa, few to mention. At the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana, He was a member of Valco Hall(Hall of residence) and he contested for the position of the Hall President but lost it to one of his contenders. He served various committees for the Africa Youth Movement notably the Publicity Committee, Association of Economics Students (UCC) and the President of the Breman Asikuma Secondary School Old Student Association (UCC Chapter. In 2011, He graduated from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana with B.A Social Sciences (Economics). He finally obtained his Masters degree in Msc Financial Economics from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) Netherlands. He is expected to proceed with his PhD very soon as He became the first young African to win a noble prize at the age of 25.
