Davien Jones

Davien P. Jones (also known as Davien P. Fernandes-Jones) was born in Miami Beach, June 11, 1979. Son of Winston Jones and Joan Fernandes-Jones, brother to Jenee Fernandes-Jones, Gary Jones, and Collin Hospedales, and father to Khalil D. Fernandes-Jones and father figure to Donte Williams. Davien attended Hibiscus Elementary, Center for Modern Languages, Center for International Studies, Norland Middle, and Norland Senior High. His primary and secondary schools witnessed a shy boy turn into an academic and school leader. At Norland Senior High, he won the county honor of Silver Knight winner in the field of Drama.

Davien served back to back terms as the Student Government President of Miami-Dade Community College, and served as a Supreme Court Justice at the University of South Florida (USF). In the year 2000, Davien was named Florida Leader Finalist, ranked in the top seven in the state of Florida Davien Jones graduated from USF in the field of Social Science, Secondary Education. Davien P. Jones currently teaches at Hallandale High school, where he teaches different courses in the field of Social Science. Davien Jones was honored in "Whose Who Among America's Teachers," in the year 2003-2004 and 2004-2005. Davien has also been honored by the City of Hallandale Beach, it's mayor and commissioners, for his dedication to education and the city.
