Sean Haugh

Sean Haugh (born 1960 in Tucson, Arizona) is an American politician and Libertarian nominee for the 2014 US Senate Election.
2002 Senatorial race
Haugh's first ran for Senate in 2002 against Elizabeth Dole and Erskine Bowles. Haugh garnered 33,807 votes statewide.

Debates
Haugh participated in three debates across North Carolina. The first with Tim D'Annunzio was held on April 6 in Durham during the LPNC state convention and broadcast live on YouTube. Audience members were able to ask debate questions via Twitter. The second debate, also featuring Republican and Democratic senate candidates, took place at University of North Carolina at Asheville April 27 sponsored by Young Americans for Liberty. The third and final debate with D'Annunzio occurred in Wilmington, NC May 4 two days before the primary election.
Primary
On May 6, 2014 Haugh won the party nomination to face off against Thom Tillis and Kay Hagan in the General Election in November. Haugh faced off against Tim D'Annunzio garnering sixty percent of the vote among North Carolina's registered Libertarians.
Haugh polled eleven percent in a Public Policy Polling poll conducted the week following the primary.
