Sean Curtin is the first youth "Double Gold Olympian" in Ohio, in the sport of archery. Archery achievements Curtin became Ohio's first youth "Double Gold Olympian" by achieving scores of 297/300 points on a 40 cm indoor target face at 18m distance, and a score of 341/360 at 70m outdoors. He attained 1st place at the 125th national target championships in Hamilton, Ohio, 2nd place at the National Outdoor Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1st placed for the national indoor "mail-in" for 2008 and 2009, and 3rd place at the National Target Championships in Yankton, South Dakota. He also placed 2nd at the World Team Trials "SI CUP", 2nd place at the Youth Olympic Game Trials in Des Moines, Iowa, 4th place at the 2008 National Outdoor Championships "Olympic Round" in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2nd place in the National Indoor Championships in Lansing, Michigan (2009 and 2010), 1st place in the team rounds of the Eastern National JOAD Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, 1st place in the OR Round of the National Outdoor Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 125th national target championships in Hamilton, Ohio, and has finished between 1st and 4th place in the Olympic Rounds of seven other National Championships. Curtin appeared in Sports Illustrated in 2009. Other activities Curtin was offered an invitation to the junior US Olympic Dream Team in 2009, but he declined this invitation in order to pursue Martial Arts at "The Dojo" in Mason, Ohio, where he has recently earned his Shodan, First Degree Black Belt.
