Scott Rainford, better known as Dead (band front man) (born December 12, 1989), is a rock & Metal musician from Preston Lancashire. He is most famous for his role as the frontman of the Glam Band 13thDeadChild in 2007. He has also played in many other bands.
Scott currently resides in Tokyo, Japan, where he lives with his fiancée Kirsi Laukka (A well known Finnish singer). Scott is a huge fan of horror movie's that influence his dark humoured and offen grotesque lyrics. He also created a Manga Novel that is due for release with dark horse comics in 2010. He has also wrote, stared and directed in several low budget horror movie's what include his humour. These were considered to shocking for public release but are available on "bootleg" DVD at his concerts.

Scott's musical career began in 2005 when he was one of two vocalists and played bass in the Death Metal/Rap Band Scream4me which later disbanded under peculiar secamstances around the lead guitarist's (Sarah Castle) death. And featured Drummer Yuna Castle (Sarah's step sister)and future 13thDeadChild guitarist, Guitarist Jak-O-Nines, And Rapper Stuart King. The band lasted only A year before Sarah's Untimely death that left the band broken and on hostile terms. A year after they "Broke Apart" Scott and Yuna met randomly in Preston City Centre. She was on the look out for a Bass Player for a Cyber Punk band (Chill2TheBone) she was starting with her then boyfriend (Keytarist) Nicolas Twigwell (AKA Twiggi), She convinced Scott to join and he brought Cyberpunk Vocalist and Digital Drummer Miko Hiranto into the project. The band only lasted 4 months and ended when Twiggi And Miko were discovered to be having an affair. The story is Yuna discovered the two in the middle of sexual activity in the toilets of "The Venue" in Preston City Centre before there 2nd Gig. This ended in a fight between the two female band members that caused a riot in the small gig venue. Many people ended injured and some hospitalised but no one died. Scott was reported to of broken his hand by punching Twiggi in the face. This was another band that ended on hostile terms.

Scott went on to form a Black Metal band. He was Quated to of said "At lest this time the band is expected to be hostile". He was joined by Yuna as a Drummer, Guitarist (He does not wish to have his name given on this page). The band played live every Friday night and Sunday night for several weeks in a Underground heavy metal bar in Lostock Hall In Lancashire. When The bar closed down the band was ready to call it quits when the rapper from the previous band Scream4Me asked to join the project as a DJ and guitarist. The band said "what the hell it couldn't hurt". The band went through some majour changes and took on a Industrial/Trance/Black Metal look. Scott also made the band to closely dress like 70's Black Metal band Venom for "a giggle". The band Consisted of Black/Death Metal Vocals & Bass From Scott, Death-Rap (Rapping in Death metal) Vocals , Rhythm guitar & Samples from King. Yuna Remained as the drummer and the Un-named guitarst stayed for this project. The band lasted almost a year, playing a gig every other Friday at "The Venue". Scott Decided he wanted to to A Glam Metal band inspired by His musical idol Alice Copper. He continued to play in his current band whilst he worked on his project.

The band went on hiatus when the guitarist and King went off to university. The day after they band had its last gig Scott told Yuna of his own little project and she wanted in. The two some recorded 3 songs and put them on Youtube. They were later flagged due to the content. Disheartened Scott was about to give up on music when he got a call from a talent scout whilst at a local gaming club. At first he thought it was someone playing a joke. He and Yuna went to meet the scout at star bucks in Preston. This is were they were offered a trial gig. Opening for Electric Eel Shock. They jumped at the opportunity. They were provided with a stage hand for a drummer Kohita Hereunder ( who later became a permanent member of the band For there first album and First tour of Japan). After a positive responce from the audiences 13thDeadChild was given a Record Deal for 3 Albums.

There First Album "Horror Show Scream" was a Hit in Japan. Scott was forced to portray a role of a "new marlin manson" which he did with much detest. After the first tour and first album he was free to denounce this publicity stunt, which he did the second he was free to by the contract. The first album was a heavy glam metal album with horror over tones and portrayed his role over the music. There 2nd Album was recently released in Japan. This was very difrent to the fist. It was more of a Glam-Punk element and full of dark humour.
Fact: The 2nd album was wrote and completed before the fist. There first album was force mad by the record company and the band to dive into an open market. The band denounces this album as a sell out album and will no longer sing it at live shows. It does not portray who they are and what they are about. They later apologised on there news letter to there English fans for selling out.
