The legend of Barry Booshman

Summary Born and raised in Dadda'to, Djibouti, Barry Booshman rose to prominance as a striker for the much-heralded English football team, Tennis Road FC aka T' Rd. Lover of 'the felt' A prolific scorer throughout his career, Barry, often lovingly referred to as 'Nob Neb' (due to his irregular shaped proboscus), was always at his best in T' Rd's away strip, a natty brown & black number. Although the fresh colour scheme was not Booshman's favourite part, oh no, it was the soft, felty feel, that when rubbed up would appear to darken, and when rubbed down visibly lightened. A form of comfort kit, Barry would often be found rubbing his top in an uncontrolable manner pre-match, seemingly unsure as to whether he preferred the light or the dark side. Booshman & Balls Nob Neb struck up a glorious partnership with 'the Minister for Goals', Eddie -Browless- Balls, a traditional yet unusual strike partner. Fans worldwide were heard to comment upon the pairs likeness to Stevie Wonder & Paul McCartney, during the 'Ebony & Ivory' era. Neither player could sing, but then Stevie was not much cop at football. Hollywood & Penalties Plagued by an insatiable hunger for the 'Hollywood' finish, Barry's goal ratio, whilst magnificent, could have been so much better. Whilst 'the Minister' would regularly dispatch the ball into the back of the net with a 'bread & butter' finish, Booshman often lobbed the keeper, the cross bar, and the first few rows of the crowd. In 2009 Barry's position as lead penalty taker was taken away & handed to 'the Minister', a reason was never given by the manager(s), but it is thought that failing to score from the spot on 57 consecutive occasions played its part. Verb? So successful was Nob Neb, the great game can now be heard -worldwide- being fondly referred to as Booshman, e.g. 'fancy a Booshman, our kid?' or 'Le Booshman, no?'. Superhero - Playman Returning to his native Djibouti, Barry became a Baptist Minister in an effort to achieve his lifetime ambition of play for all! . Constructing parks throughout the land, brother Booshman scatterred enough of those strange wood chippings (found in parks around the World), to enable every single Djiboutan child to enjoy their freetime, commonly referred to as Booshabout.
