Scott Paulin

Scott Paulin (born February 13, 1950) is an American actor and television director.
Career
His work includes appearances in well-known television series like House M.D., ', Cold Case, 24 and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. His film roles have included playing Deke Slayton in The Right Stuff (1983), Brian Hunter in Pump Up the Volume (1990), and the in the 1990 film, Captain America. He has also had roles in Vampire (1979), Serial (1980), Cat People (1982), Forbidden World (1982), A Soldier's Story (1984), Warning Sign (1985), Teen Wolf (1985), The Accused (1988), I Am Sam (2001). He is also portraying the father of Kate Beckett in the series Castle.
Personal life
Paulin was born in Steubenville, Ohio. He and his wife actress Wendy Phillips have been married since 1981. They have a daughter, Jenny Dare Paulin. Paulin majored in Government at Pomona College (Claremont, California), graduating in 1971.
