Jurassic Coast bus route X53

Jurassic Coast bus route X53 is a long distance bus route that operates along the Jurassic Coast from Exeter and Poole. It is operated by First Hampshire & Dorset.
History
Route X53 commenced in 1998 with a three-hourly frequency operating from Exeter to Dorchester. In 2001 it was diverted to Weymouth instead of Dorchester and extended to Wareham in 2003 and to Bournemouth in 2004. It was cut back to Poole in 2008.
Vehicles
Route X53 was originally operated by Plaxton bodied . In 2004 these were replaced by East Lancs bodied . In July 2008, new Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TLs were introduced.
