Scott Eric Kaufman

Scott Eric Kaufman (1976-2016) was an American critic, journalist, and blogger. His earliest widely read writings were in a blog called Acephalous. He later wrote extensively for Salon and The A.V. Club and was an assistant editor at Salon at the time of his death. His nickname and byline for his online writing was SEK, his initials.
His writing followed many similar themes, and his work included discussion of Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who, Mad Men, Batman, and the Coen brothers.
Later writings
Later in his career he wrote for a number of blogs and websites, notably including A. V. Club and Salon. At Salon, his writing touched on science and technology, including robotics, space travel, and drone technology. He was also noted for his writings on facebook and elsewhere about his cat, which had the moniker "OLDMAN CAT", written as dialog between the cat and himself.
Death
He died in Houston on Monday, November 21, 2016 following multiple organ failure and acute complications.<ref name="McLemee2016"/>
