Scandelion is a spanish gothic metal-band, started at the end of the year 2002, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands). Actually it is one of the most important musical groups in the Canary Islands. Members * Jorge Alfonso - keyboard and vocals * Sonia Hernandez - general vocals * Ancor Amador - guittar * Pedro Burgazzoli - bass Past members * Nestor Suarez - drums (2002-2011) History Scandelion is the name of the ruins of a Greek fortress at the Jerusalem coasts. The early days of the band go back to endings of 2002, with a clearly power metal influence which has gradually been focusing more towards gothic metal. At the present time, the band looks for a darker sound, with a lot of importance in the vocal parts and with melancholic and strong melodies. In 2008 appears "The Pureheart 's Breed", the first Scandelion's totally auto produced cd, and in 2009 was released the second one, a demo called "Demonia Praedictio Chronicles", where we can see the change in the style of the band to a darker sound. Over these years, Scandelion has played with international bands, like Theatres des Vampires, and playing in some important stages in Spain. At the year 2011, the drummer Nestor Suarez lefts the band due to physical problems, which impended the progress of the band. Currently the group is looking for a new drummer and finalizing the details to enter the studio to record their first album, which will be called "The Garden of Lies".
