Mark Hampton, FAIA, a member of the Sarasota School of Architecture, said of the book: "Four Florida Moderns brings a fresh approach and outlook to Florida through the resolution of architectural problems in a tropical environment. It highlights the work of four native architects, all of whom are acutely aware of the nature of the tropics and the romanticism of its qualities. By incorporating water, breezes, vistas, shadows, and heat into their work, the psychological appeal is impressive and undeniable. Their exploration and application of new materials and natural elements is innovative.” Go Magazine, the inflight for Air Tran, wrote in their review, titled 'The Beach Boys.' “Tropical modernism - a style with clean lines, splashes of color and lots of glass - fuses the traditions of Mid-Century Modernism with the subtle Latin American accents of the Southern Atlantic coast. Saxon Henry's book Four Florida Moderns Architecture Week featured a portion of Henry’s interview with Guy Peterson. Writing in 944 Magazine, John Hood says about the book, “Miami’s an architect’s dream city. And Saxon Henry cites the most important newcomers in her Four Florida Moderns.
