Synopsis
This play is based on a real story. The story takes place in the countryside of Paraguay in the late 70's during General Alfredo Stroessner regime. One of the characters of the play, Mariana, goes the extra mile to protect the life of her only son from the dictator.
Characters
*MARIANA - In her late 50’s. A very strong, talented woman. She lives with fear. Her first husband was killed during Stroessner’s regime. Now, her husband is Lugo, although they are not married.
*ANTONIO - In his 20’s. His friends and his family call him Toño. A revolutionary young man who is against Stroessner’s regime. He is being persecuted for participating in the anti Stroessner secret meetings.
*LUGO - Antonio’s stepfather. He believes in just being quiet. He might be a Stroessner follower.
