Sarah M. Baker

Sarah Baker is an American writer and ethical adoption advocate (activist). She is best known for her role on the second season of the Oxygen channel TV series I'm Having Their Baby as well as the founder of a large adoption support community, Heart For Open Adoption. She writes for adoption.com and is the content specialist for adopting.org.
Adoption advocacy
The Baker's first adoption match was filmed for a docu-series set to air on the Oxygen channel called I'm Having Their Baby. It followed the journey with the expectant mother who was considering placing her child with them. While that match fell through, the Baker's were still able to expand their family through adoption which was documented on that series in season two episodes 1 and 12.
Baker began writing for adoption.com in May 2014.
Through her involvement in the adoption community, Baker was asked to participate in several radio show interviews. The first in April 2014 was on the Sunday Morning Magazine radio show with Rodney Lear that aired on several Hubbard radio stations in Cincinnati. The second in July 2014 was a national radio show hosted by Rebecca Vahle and Centura Health called "Adoption Perspectives". Additionally she has participated in several blog or article interviews in the adoption community.
Personal life
Sarah married Joe in Hocking Hills, Ohio May 16, 2008. She has a biological son, Isaac (October 2001) and a son through domestic infant open adoption, Ezra (January 2013).
