Sara Lou

Sara Lou, real name Sarah Cummins, is an Irish singer and songwriter originally from Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, Ireland, but currently relocated to Dublin.
Biography
At the young age of four, Sara Lou started out as an Irish dancer and musician playing flute and tin whistle in the Irish Trad scene. During her dancing years, Sara Lou won four All-Ireland medals, three Scottish and British medals, and was also ranked in the World Irish Dancing Championships. She has also won several national titles for playing the flute and tin whistle. She also secured a place in the prominent Irish Dance show "Dancing Through The Ages", and subsequently toured Asia, America and the Middle East.
At eighteen years of age, she decided to branch out on her own, and began playing guitar and singing in local venues. Early in 2008 she was the winner of an online talent contest, in the singing category, winning $10,000.
After this she began to write more original material. Over the next few months, Sara Lou recorded her debut EP entitled “See You Soon” in the Claycastle Studios in Youghal, Co. Cork. As a result, in August 2008, Sara Lou was approached to sing on the soundtrack to the Irish-made movie "Insatiable". The film has since toured many of the international film festivals across the globe. Sara Lou’s song was featured in the closing scene of the movie and plays on to the credits.
In September 2008, Sara Lou came to the attention of Crux Entertainment, an artist management and music promotion company in Cork, and within a matter of days, they had signed a management contract with Sara Lou and began to represent her.
During 2009, Sara Lou performed as guest support artist for Mick Flannery, Bagatelle, Aslan, Eleanor McEvoy, and many more. She also landed a nomination for "Best New Artist" at the 2009 Balcony TV Music Awards in Dublin. In addition to actively gigging nationwide throughout 2009, Sara Lou also performed at various festivals, including the Indiependence Festival, and has performed live on numerous television and radio shows across Ireland.
