Sant Kaur Bajwa

Sant Kaur Bajwa (January 1, 1898 (claimed) - July 19, 2013) was a British woman of Indian descent who at the time of her death was a claimant for the title of the oldest living person . Bajwa claimed to be 115 years, 199 days old at her death, which would make her older than the current oldest verified living person, Misao Okawa from Japan, aged as of 24 July 2013 115 years, 141 days.
Bajwa had been born in Sialkot of what is now the Pakistani province of Punjab. Bajwa had lost both her parents when she was young and was raised by an elder sister.
She was married at age 16 to farmer Munisha Singh but he died six years into their marriage. Bajwa had four daughters. She moved to Southall in West London in 1966, living with her daughter and son-in-law, and remained in the area until her death.
At the time of her death she was survived by twelve grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.<ref name=BBC/>
