Catherine Hagel

Catherine Dahlheimer Hagel (born 28 November, 1894) is an American supercentenarian. She is currently, at age 113, the fifth-oldest person in the U.S. and the eighth-oldest person in the world since the November 14, 2007 death of American woman Bertha Fry. She was a farmer, and didn't stop farming until she was 100, when she moved to the North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, Minnesota. Hagel had 11 children (nine of whom are currently still living) with her husband, John, who died in 1966 at age 74.

Incidentally, the Minnesota state record of 113 years and 72 days is held by Catherine Hagel's sister-in-law, Delvina Dahlheimer (1888-2002).
