Sander van Heukelom (1972) from The Netherlands, The Hague, artist Career Sander, who is a graphic designer by profession, draws his inspiration from his extensive travels. After five years spent travelling around the world and teaching kite surfing on several continents, his creativity has taken wing. Due to the breaking of surfboards he got interested in how these we made and he discovered a material he could work creatively with. Sander is now known especially for his three-dimensional typographic sculpture and paintings with spray can and resin. Notable Pieces The most notable piece that came out in March 2008 must be the Fat Cap chair, the chairs were presented to the world the 12th of July 2008 in a gallery in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
