Paul Byron

Paul Byron (born April 27, 1989) is a Canadian major junior ice hockey center currently with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and a prospect in the Buffalo Sabres organization.
Playing career
Making the jump from Ontario junior B hockey in 2006-07, Byron got off to a solid start appearing in 68 games with Gatineau and registering 21 goals, 23 and a plus 7 rating. He then followed up with another solid performance in his sophomore year in the Q with 37 goals and 31 assists in just 52 games. Along with linemates Claude Giroux and Matthew Pistilli, Byron helped lead the Gatineau Olympiques to their 7th President's Cup trophy and a Memorial Cup birth leading all goal scorers in the playoffs with 21. He has just finished his third season with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he was fourth in league scoring with 99 points (33 goals and 66 assists) in 64 games.Selected in the 6th round, 179th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres.
