Sandeep Ranade

Sandeep Ranade (born on July 8, 1981) is a Hindustani Classical vocalist of the Mewati Gharana.
Early life and training
Born in Bangalore to Dilip M. Ranade, a software engineer and Mridula Ranade, a Professor of Psychology, Ranade started his early classical training under the guidance of Anjali Joglekar-Ponkshe in Pune. In 1998, Ranade began advanced training with Dr. Shobha Abhyankar. Since 2009, Ranade has also been receiving training from Pt. Jasraj, whom he has vocally accompanied in performances in India and the United States.
Education
Ranade received his B. E. in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune in 2003.
He attended graduate school at Johns Hopkins University and earned his Master's degree in Computer Science in 2005.
Career
Prior to attending graduate school, Ranade worked at Calsoft from 2003 to 2004.
In November 2005, Ranade began working at the Microsoft Corporation as a program manager.
Following, Ranade worked at Citrix Systems in Santa Clara.
Currently, he works at Cirtas Systems, Inc.
Performance career
By profession, Ranade is a software engineer and thus occasionally has public music performances.
He has had both public and private performances in India, the United States, and Canada.
Composer
Ranade has composed dozens of bandishes and several semi-classical works.
He composes with the nome de plume "Naad Rang" (also "Naad Rangile," a variant).
