The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core is a budget Android smartphone manufactured by Samsung Electronics as a part of its A series. The phone was announced in July 2020 and released in August 2020. The phone features a 5.3 inch 720p touchscreen display, and comes with One UI 2 over Android 10 Go Edition. A similar device named as Galaxy M01 Core was first released in July 2020 and it shares some of its features with the Galaxy A01 Core. Specifications Hardware The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core is equipped with a 5.3 inch PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels (~311 ppi). The phone itself measures 141.7 x 67.5 x 8.6 mm (5.58 x 2.66 x 0.34 in) and weighs 150 grams (5.29 oz). The A01 Core has a fully plastic body. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6739 (28 nm) SoC with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an PowerVR GE8100 GPU. The phone can have either 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage as well as 1 or 2 GB RAM. The internal storage of the device can be expanded via the microSD card slot. The phone also includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It has a non-removable 3000 mAh lithium-ion battery. Camera The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core has a 8 MP rear camera that can record video up to 1080p at 30 fps and a 5 MP front facing camera. Software The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core comes with Android 10 Go and One UI 2.0. It has only received security updates so far.
