Samantha Dunn is a Greens councillor in the Shire of Yarra Ranges, representing Lyster Ward. She is the Greens lead upper house candidate for the Eastern Victoria region, in the upcoming 2010 Victorian state election. Dunn is financial controller by trade in the Apprenticeship and Traineeship sector. Local Politics In 2005, Dunn was elected to the Shire of Yarra Ranges in Lyster Ward (a single-member ward which includes the outer Melbourne suburbs of Sherbrooke, Kallista, The Patch, Belgrave, Selby, Menzies Creek, Narre Warren East, Lysterfield and Belgrave Heights) with 30% of the primary vote. She was re-elected with a record 54% of the primary vote in 2008. Cr Dunn represents the Shire of Yarra Ranges on the Birdsland Environment Education Centre Management Advisory Committee, the Burrinja Cultural Centre, the MAV Strategic Environment Advisory Group, the Tree Task Force and the Yarra Ranges Environment Advisory Committee. She is also the chairperson of the Eastern Transport Coalition and chairperson the Eastern Regional Libraries Corporation. She also serves as Treasurer of the Victorian Local Governance Association.
