Sadie Vidal

Sadie Vidal was elected as a Conservative Councillor for Litchard Ward Bridgend, in May 2017. She was also the Conservative and Unionist Party candidate in the constituency of Aberavon in the United Kingdom general election 2017.
Early life
Sadie was originally from Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, and is a Marketing Manager by profession. According to Vidal she was inspired to get involved in politics when she was just 15, watching a politician speak at a local rally. She loved the idea of making real, effective change for my community and representing the voices of people who feel like they aren't heard. Vidal graduated Swansea University in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in History and Economics.
Political Career
Sadie Vidal Stood as a Welsh Conservative candidate for Swansea East In the 2016 Welsh Assembly election. She finished 4th with 8% of the vote. In the 2017 UK Council Elections, Vidal stood as the Conservative Candidate for Litchard Ward Bridgend and was Elected with a total of 406 votes. In June 2017 she stood as the Conservative candidate in the constituency of Aberavon. She received 17.74% of the vote, finishing second behind Stephen Kinnock of the Labour Party. During the campaign she was listed among a number of Conservative candidates accused of withdrawing from public debates.
