Sabbo (Musician)

Sabbo (Musician/DJ/Producer) is a DJ and producer from Tel Aviv, Israel. Producing a sound that combines heavy dance-hall influences with a mix of bass and global grooves, Sabbo's unique DJ and producing styles have brought him to the forefront of the DJ and blog world.
Never locking into a specific genera as a producer, DJ or listener his music is profoundly influenced by anything with a moving beat and heavy bass line: from dancehall to hip-hop, to funk, jungle and Dubstep. Sabbo links closely with the Chicago born "Footwork Style," a type of Jungle music that offers Sabbo freedom to use various styles of music in all his songs.
Career
A member of the critically acclaimed DJ/production crew Soulico, which released their first album "Exotic on the Speaker" in 2009 on JDub records featured guest appearances from Ghostface Killah, Lyrics Born, Del The Funky Homosapien, MC Zulu, and Rye Rye.
Sabbo's solo career began with the release of his first solo-EP titled "It Is Time" which received support from numerous DJ's including Sinden & Don Letts. "It Is Time" was also released on vinyl on the Israeli label .
In 2011 Sabbo plans to release two EP's. The UK label Generation Bass will release "Freaktion," a four track compilation of Footwork inspired songs and "Modern Primitives" an EP with more tribal bass productions and remixes featuring Emynd & DJ Orion will be released on the Australian label Scattermish.
