Russian Law Journal

The Russian Law Journal (RJL) is an independent, professional journal that covers recent legal developments. It covers modern law in the Russian Federation and the international community. It is published in English and is published four times per year. The journal seeks to encourage interest in all matters relating to comparative law, international public and private law, Russian law, the theory and history of law, and relationships between the law and other disciplines. A special emphasis is made on interdisciplinary legal research. RLJ is written to promote Russian legal researches abroad. The magazine is meant for both Russian and foreign readers, including major world legal libraries, academics, and practicing lawyers.
History
Russian Law Journal (RLJ) was founded in 2013 in order to fill gaps in academic communication. It became one of the first Eurasia-based academic legal journals in English. RLJ is an inter-university journal which aims to promote Russian legal research abroad. “Our goal is to create a forum for communication between Russian and international scholars, thus opening Russian scientists, law and legal discourse to the world” - says Dmitry Maleshin, editor-in-chief of RLJ, Law Faculty professor at Moscow State University.
Interesting facts
Russian Law Journal is funded by the Russian Ministry of Education. RLJ, among other academic periodicals, meets all necessary requirements for special funding for improving international fame and ratings of Russian scientists. It is advertised as having the “high quality editorial board, review system and demand within scientific community”. Russian Law Journal is indexed according to international ranking by legal periodicals , HeinOnline, OCLC WorldCat and Slavic Review. Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and Pericle Law Cente have joined the RLJ consortium.
