Ros Wilson is a British educator and writer. She is the creator of the "Big Writing" teaching technique and its complementary resources. Wilson has presented at conferences in the United Kingdom and internationally, and has written books for teachers and parents advocating her approach to raising standards in education. Wilson advocates creativity, energy and enthusiasm in the classroom to foster a shared respect and enjoyment of writing. Biography Wilson was born in Leeds, Yorkshire. She received her education credentials from Bretton College (part of University of Leeds). Prior to creating the "Big Writing" technique, Wilson worked as a teacher, LEA Advisor, and Ofsted Inspector. She helped to establish an English Speaking school in Qatar. |
