Ron Fairway is notable for being the man who was credited by some with having discovered the multi-racial group The Foundations who would go on to have hits with "Baby, Now That I've Found You" and "Build Me Up Buttercup" , and as the man who would eventually sue them. Fairway along with Barry Class" were co-managers of the interracial British soul group The Foundations. Various sources can give differing accounts as to who actually discovered The Foundations first. The biography on Allmusic.com states that Barry Class was the first to discover them Class had taken care of one side of the business while Fairway went out trying to secure gigs for the group. Fairway also leaked a story to the media saying that the Foundations had broken up.<ref name="inlay notes"/> |
