Rohan Rathod

Rohan Rathod is a Municipal Councillor of Mumbai Municipal Corporation from Ward No. 68 in Andheri West and Versova. He was elected to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation from Ward no. 68, K-West Ward as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 1900 votes and is one of the Youngest Corporators in Mumbai.
He is known for his stand on protection of mangroves and action against illegal encroachments and land grabbing.
He has conceptualized "The Bodhi Tree" sculpture which decorates a major junction on Juhu Versova link Road.
Rohan Rathod has got passed a proposal in BMC to give tax benefits on development charges to builders who opt for eco-friendly construction in the city
To encourage zero waste he has given a proposal that equipments like compost tumblers and organic waste converters should be made available to the societies from municipal councillors funds.
He has shown his stand against illegal hutments and encroachments by demolishing 250 illegal hutments from at Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel (SVP) Nagar He works extensively and closely with citizens in Andheri West and Versova.
Currently he is serving as Vice-President of BJP Youth Wing BJYM-Mumbai.
