RocketOwl

RocketOwl Inc. is an Ottawa, Ontario based video game developer of online social and mobile games. Founded in 2010, RocketOwl employs 18 people and has released one title to date. The company launched their first social game, GreenSpace, in open beta on August 1, 2011 with a soft launch on December 1, 2011. The game received a major update on August 1, 2012.
Founding
RocketOwl was founded by Graeme Barlow, Hitzel Cruz, Jasvinder Obhi, Sol Avisar, and Sass Peress. Obhi was heavily involved in alternative energy sector, concentrating on solar energy, and started working with Barlow to create a web presence for bringing awareness to the sector.

Awards and Recognition
In 2012, RocketOwl's first released title GreenSpace was named a finalist for Best Social/Casual Game in the 3rd Annual Canadian Videogame Awards.
RocketOwl received official recognition from the Canadian Wildlife Federation on May 1, 2012 “for their outstanding contribution to environmental awareness in Canada.”
Distribution
RocketOwl currently distributes GreenSpace solely through its Facebook and iOS applications, though work has begun to bring the game to other platforms including Windows8 and Android.
Promotion
RocketOwl began posting to its blog more consistently and introduced the VlogitOwl video series to discuss video gaming-related issues in the summer of 2012.
