Robert Sprunt

Robert Sprunt (born 17 January 1950 in Taunton, Somerset, United Kingdom), is an architect in the practice Sprunt.
Sprunt grew up in Somerset and went to the Kings School Canterbury. He studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London and qualified as an RIBA Chartered Architect in 1974. He spent his early career in local government as Assistant Borough Architect in Hammersmith and Fulham and then as Director of Development in Brent where he developed an asset management stratergy for the council and wrote extensively about the need to manage property assets effectively as a shared resource .
In 1988 he founded his own architecture practice which incorporated with AF Hare and Partners in 1994 and officially changed its name from AFH Shaw Sprunt to Sprunt Limited on the 28th January 2003
He made his name with his work in inner city estate regeneration with a particular commitment to resident consulation including the Pepys Estate in Lewisham (1992), Kings Cross Estate in Camden (1995) followed by work on two Housing Action Trusts, the redevelopment of Monteith Estate for Tower Hamlets HAT (1997) and Stonebridge HAT (2000). and most recently the redevelopment of Stonegrove and Spur Road Estates in Barnet, a partnership between Barratt, Family Mosiac HA and Barnet Council which involved extensive resident consultation.
