Robert Quartly-Janeiro is a British businessman, political economist, and management consultant (strategy and trade). Early life and education Born in Devon, England, he graduated with a BA in International Relations and Globalisation from De Montfort University under the direction of economist Dr George Lambie who, with Jacques Delors, Stuart Holland, and George Papandreou, are working to create of a new Eurobond in response to the Global financial crisis. He additionally studied International Relations at TU Dresden School of International Studies and earned an MIM at the University of Exeter. Career His career began at the European Commission on security policy of the EU alongside Polish politician during the Barroso Commission and at the House of Commons (economic policy) for Anne Marie Morris . He later became Chief Strategy Officer at luxury footwear brand, James R. Fuhrmann, with the aim of rivalling Barker Black and Loake. He later worked at Banco Santander under Martin Rice, now Chairman of the Earl Shilton Building Society, and subsequently joined Savile Row based hedge fund advisory, Sussex Partners. At Sussex, he worked with industry veterans such as Frederic Neefs, John Bills, and Patrick Ghali, and with managers including SkyBridge Capital, Credit Suisse, Norinchukin Bank, and Willis Towers Watson. In 2014, he assisted Jon Cruddas then Labour Party Policy Coordinator, with an independent policy review ahead of the 2015 General Election. In 2018 he became Managing Partner of QR&P Consulting, working with private equity firms, hedge funds, banks, and governments on foreign direct investments, thematic investments, fundamental analysis, public affairs, and geopolitics. After QR&P's closure, he become a trade consultant at Export Action Global working with Adam Taylor, ex economic and trade adviser to 22nd Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper and Ed Fast the former Minister for International Trade. Honours He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Royal Geographical Society, and a member of the Royal Agricultural Society and Chartered Management Institute. Personal life He lives in London, and has one son. He is a member of the Quartly family. The family is known for its association with farming and with perfecting the North Devon cattle at Molland, Devon.
