Robert Kast

Dr. Robert Alan Kast is a board certified physician and surgeon who was educated at some of the major institutions in New York City (StonyBrook University, New York University). After completing his medical and surgical training in New york, Kast established one of the largest Ob-Gyn practices in the country. He had offices in Coral Springs, Florida and Boca Raton, Florida, and he has been the subject of numerous articles and publications regarding his medical practice and his business acumen. Kast served as Chairman of the Department on various hospitals, chairing the Credential Committees, Hospital Admissions Committees, Blood Utilization and Tissue Committees, and Quality Assurance Committees, to name just a few. Kast was Vice President of the Palm Medical Independent Practice Association (a select group of the most prominent physicians in Palm Beach County), and he was also on the Board of Directors of many health care organizations, setting policy for physician standards of care and quality issues.
Kast was appointed to the Florida board of Medicine Medical Advisory Committee. He served in this capacity for 10 years and he was chairman of this committee for several years. This committee was composed of twelve handpicked physicians approved by the Board of Medicine and the State Legislature to review all of the malpractice complaints and legal issues relevant to medical and surgical standards of care in the State of Florida.
Kast received the award of Merit from the Florida Board of Medicine and the Florida State Legislature in 1998 for his distinguished work in medicine and surgery.
Kast has also served on the board of directors of many charitable organizations and institutions. He is presently on the Boca Raton Museum of Art Board of Directors (he was the youngest appointee to this distinguished board). Dr. Kast also serves on the Board of Directors of the Andy Roddick Tennis Foundation that is devoted to raising money for various children’s causes (Kids in Distress, “Back to Basics” Angel Fund for the children of migrant workers, and Marga’s Miracle Foundation for children with terminal cancer). Kast is also a sponsor and benefactor of numerous charitable organizations: Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, Norton Museum of Art, Center One (Aids), Fort Lauderdale Film Festival, Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, Crist Evert Foundation, Center for the Arts in Boca Raton, PBS, and many others. He is often asked to be a consultant and advisor regarding various projects of these and other charities as well.
