Robert Bobroczky (born July 17, 2000 in Arad, Romania) holds the record for being the tallest teenager in Europe and as of 2014. He is the son of Zigmond Bobroczky, who himself was a member of the West Olympia Phoenix basketball team from 1997-2000 and standing at who was eligible for the 1990 NBA draft, but was not drafted. At 13 years of age, Robert was measured at and was reportedly growing at 10 cm/year. According to the Ottawa Sun, videos of his basketball shooting skills went viral over social media and has garnered interest from the NBA scouts that can't draft him until at least the year 2021. As of 2014, Bobrooczky is training for the Italian basketball team under the team Stella Azzurra Rome. According to this source, he is considered one of the most talented prospect for his age. |
