Rob Otto is an American sportscaster. He is currently a show host and update reporter for Sportsradio 1130 WDFN in Detroit, Michigan. He hosts a weekend show called The Ottoman Sports Empire and also hosts Detroit Pistons pregame, haltime and postgame shows along the Pistons Radio Network. After a series of layoffs at the station in early November 2007, Rob became the host of the morning show weekdays 6 am to 8 am starting on Monday November 12, 2007. Upon the return of former morning host Jamie Samuelsen on December 10, 2007, Rob returned to his normal update reporting duties. Rob also works for Comcast Local, where he is the color commentator for Mid-American Conference collegiate football, Big Ten and Big 12 collegiate wrestling, and host of numerous shows. Rob has been nominated twice for an Emmy Award for his color commentator work. His name led him to be nicknamed Mr. Roboto after the early 80's song by Styx Rob was born in Cheboygan, Michigan on November 30, 1969. |
