Right to Succeed

Right to Succeed Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is based in Los Angeles, California. The Right To Succeed Foundation is focused helping communities to build successful schools that help children succeed. The organization was launched in 2010 by Ted Fujimoto, Cavan Chan, Sean Tsai and Lina So. The founding board members included Ted Fujimoto as Chairman, Cavan Chan, Sean Tsai, Aldalberto (Al) Andino, and Neil Shah.
Celebrities who have publicly advocated for the Right to Succeed cause include host and journalist Lisa Ling and Grammy award artist Patti Austin who collaborated with Right to Succeed to in a musical town hall held February 28, 2011 in Dallas, Texas called "Get Real About Education". Syndicated talk show host and political activist Rob Nelson (Full Nelson on Fox News) joined the Right to Succeed founding team to help promote the cause. Nelson is known for being one of the founders of Lead or Leave a political action group that focused on reducing the deficit.
In December 2010, Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa took the Right To Succeed's Drop 50 Pledge to cut the drop out rate in half.
