Katrina Cravy (born May 20, 1970) is an American motivational speaker, media coach, and Emmy award-winning reporter and TV Host. She was also a radio personality on WKLH’s morning show with Dave Luczak. Cravy is best known for her nearly 18-year career as an investigative consumer reporter for WITI-TV 6 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a professional speaker, she focuses on helping companies and non-profits increase media attention, customer service, and female leadership. Cravy is the author of “On Air - Insider Secrets to Attract the Media and Get Free Publicity” and is the founder of Katrina Cravy, Inc. Early life and education Katrina Cravy was born on May 20, 1970, in Mountain View, California. Cravy graduated from Clovis High School in 1988. Cravy attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism. She was chosen as an intern for the Office of Ronald Reagan. In 1992, Cravy graduated from USC and was chosen as the Broadcast Journalism School’s Outstanding Senior. Career Cravy conducted work for NBC, ABC, and FOX affiliates starting with WTAP in Parkersburg, West Virginia in 1993, WTMJ in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1994-1997), KATU in Portland, Oregon (1997-1998), and FOX 6 WITI (1998-2016). As a reporter for Contact 6 from 1999-2016, Cravy is credited with getting back nearly two million dollars for FOX 6 viewers. She has been called a “glorified customer service woman” for cutting through the red-tape with her hidden camera and undercover investigations. In 2003, Cravy received an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Chicago/Midwest region for Outstanding Achievement for News Specials for her one-hour show “Best of the Tests” featuring her consumer product reports. During her time at FOX 6, she reported for Contact 6 and co-anchored the nightly news with Brad Hicks and Ted Perry from 2004 - 2010. In 2010, Cravy was asked to start and co-host a new morning talk show called “Real Milwaukee” with Nicole Koglin, Rob Haswell, and Cassandra McShepard. In 2013, the station started another talk-show in the afternoon called “Studio A” and paired Cravy with Ted Perry. In October of 2016, she left FOX 6 to start her own company as a professional speaker, media coach and author. She has received awards from the National Press Club, Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, Associated Press, and Milwaukee Press Club. Cravy is currently on the governing board of the Milwaukee Press Club and is a member of TEMPO Milwaukee, a professional women’s group. Personal life Cravy met her husband at FOX 6 and was married in 2002. They have one son.
