Ride Snowboards is a manufacturer of snowboards and other winter sports equipment and apparel. Founded in Redmond, Washington in 1992, the company has since relocated to Seattle, Washington. Specializing in high quality snowboards, the company produces several lines of snowboards, ranging from free-ride, free-style, and competition snowboards. Overview As of 2011, Ride currently has 22 lines of snowboards, with countless more snowboard accessories as well as winter apparel. Along with Ride's extensive winter gear selection, they also produce several lines or hardgear and softgear, as well as outerwear. Their snowboard line, which is split into several categories, includes freeride and freestyle boards. Freeride, meant for full mountain control, offers riders with great control over various mountain conditions and speeds. Freestyle boards, geared more toward terrain parks, offer more response and lighter weight, perfect for tricks and quick maneuvers. This great selection combats other snowboarding giants, such as Burton Snowboards. Sponsorship Ride also plays an important role in professional snowboarding, not only in the United States, but also the world. Some of the more well known riders include Mikey LeBlanc, Abby Lockhart, and Nick Hyne among many others. Footnotes
