Ricky 1 is a 1988 low budget independent spoof film writen and directed by William T. Naud parodying the first film in the . Background The film contains sight gags, as well as slapstick comedy in the vein of '. The film never had a theatrical release, being a direct-to-video release. As of September 12, 2006, the film has been re-released to DVD. The DVD tagline states that Ricky 1 "...does to flying what Airplane did to boxing." who sets out to beat the "Silver Shadow" (known throughout the film as "The Champ") (Hawthorne James) in the boxing ring. His other adversaries include the Bolivian Bomber and the Mafia.
