Richard J. Sebastian

Richard J. Sebastian is an American actor living in Los Angeles via New England and has worked extensively in theatre, film, television, print work and commercials.
Life
He was born in Miami Beach, Florida, but moved to New England at a very young age. He grew up performing on the stage in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine. He was voted “Most Dramatic” at Winslow High School in his home town of Winslow, Maine. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Southern Maine. He was a member of the Russell Square Players, Pioneer Playhouse, the Waterville Summer Music Theatre, Waterville Repertory Company and the Waterville Players. He describes theatre as “his passion”.
Richard moved to Los Angeles in 1986 and quickly became a busy working actor. Over the years, he has worked with Whoopi Goldberg, Sam Elliott, Ed Asner, Angela Lansbury, Garry Shandling, Gilda Radner, Clint Eastwood, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas, Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison, Joel McHale, and Chevy Chase, among others. He is a member of SAG and AFTRA.
Richard’s first starring role in a feature film was in the offbeat comedy/drama fantasy Dream A Little Evil (1989), as a student who gets into mischief with inventions. The film costars Lyle Waggoner as "Death".
After meeting Danny Thomas and his wife Rose Marie, Richard got heavily involved in fund raising for . He also helps raise money for the American Diabetes Association and AIDS research. He is an avid animal rights activist and owns three rescue dogs.
